

Bonnie Mae Higgins, 81 of Pocola, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 in her home. She was born May 28, 1932. She was a homemaker and member of Christian Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Pocola.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 28 at Christian Grove Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Arkansas. Viewing will be Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends at this time.
She is survived by her husband Claudie Higgins of the home; two daughters, Claudette Adair and husband, James of Havana and Arlene Brewer and husband, Boone of Pocola; a son-in-law, Larry Jinks of Pocola; two granddaughters, Jennifer Harrison and husband, Gerald of Fort Smith and Amanda Adair of Montgomery, Louisiana; four grandsons, Weston Brewer and wife, Emily of Pocola, B.J. Brewer and wife, Kristy of Lavaca, Jimmy Brewer of Arkoma and B.J. Adair and wife, Carmen of Havana; five great granddaughters, McKenya Jinks, Mahalie Adair, Chloe’ Adair, Kaitlyn Brewer and Karleigh Brewer; six great grandsons, Bailey Jinks, Levi Brewer, Trace Adair, Garrett Bobst, Kaw-liga Brewer and Jamison Brewer; and four brothers, Harold Lovell and wife, Margie of Pocola, Oren Lovell, Jr. and wife, Joan of Spiro, Jim Lovell and wife, Nancy of Hackett, Chuck Lovell and wife, Marilyn of Phoenix, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oren and Aura Lovell; a daughter, Loretta Jinks; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Pallbearers will be Weston Brewer, Boone Brewer, B.J. Brewer, Jimmy Brewer, Larry Jinks, and Gerald Harrison.
