On April 17, 2025, our beautiful, loving 85-year-old mother, Carma Jean Lindsey Davis left to be with her husband of 63 years, George T. Davis, to walk the fields of Heaven. Carma Jean Lindsey Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Fannie Lindsey and two brothers Jimmy Ray and Steve B. Lindsay.
She was born October 22,1939 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where she lived most of her life. Carma was always involved with all of her daughters’ activities, along with being regional manager of Circle M Food for many years. Although her greatest achievement was being a loving and devoted mother to her daughters, Jeri Fox and husband, Nathan, Sara Vermilyer and husband, Jim, Carmen Aldridge and husband Danny, Kimberly Crawford and Mikela (Mikey) Bryant; a sweet and loving Nannie to eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; one niece and two fur babies, Wheezer and Lilly.
Carma walked daily with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, spreading love and joy to all she encountered, always a hug, joy, and kind words for everyone.
A celebration of life will be held 6 p.m., Thursday, April 24 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Carma and her husband, George T. Davis will be laid to rest 10 a.m., Friday, April 25 at the U.S National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
