Carolyn Emily Dame, 90, peacefully passed away at her home in Charleston on January 31, 2022 surrounded by loving family. She was raised in Seal Beach, California, lived in Roseburg, Oregon, Anaheim, California, Henderson, Nevada and most recently Charleston, Arkansas.
She loved travelling (the US, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand), embraced a wide variety of hobbies, loved the arts (surrounded by her many artist friends), and was an excellent purveyor of multi-level natural health products which contributed to her longevity.
She is survived by two daughters, Jo Lynn Poole of Mesa, Arizona and Shelly Dame and husband Donald Schmitt of Charleston; sister-in-law Minnie Kobernik of Roseburg, Oregon; five grandchildren, Janeen Johnson and husband, Mike, Scott Mansuy, Greg Mansuy and wife, Jodie, Don Schmitt II and James Schmitt and wife, Melissa; 12 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ruby Belle Kobernik; her husband of 55 years Donald “Buzzy” Dame and brother, Nick Kobernik.
The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date.
Inurnment will be at Southern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Arkansas.
