Chesley “Bud” Smith, 81, of Witcherville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired supervisor at Jefferson Smurfit Corporation and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Witcherville with burial at Gilliam Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Monday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Smith; one son, Mike Smith and wife, Pam of Witcherville; two daughters, Donna Sturdivant and Janet Scharbor and husband, Donnie all of Witcherville; one brother, Joe Smith of Witcherville; one sister, Nan Ashcraft of Little Rock; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Walker, Bobby Shepherd, Michael Smith, Matthew Grubb, Joshua Grubb, Troy Jarrell and Donnie Scharbor.
