

Clifford L. Bell, 87, long time resident of Fort Smith, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015. Mr. Bell was born in Greenwood, Arkansas in 1928 to Clifford and Maxie Bell who both preceded him in death. His wife, Blanche H. Bell also preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Jo McClarrinon; three sons, Page Kutait, Eddie Kutait, and Damon Bell; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Mr. Bell was a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Smith. He served 40 years on the Fort Smith Fire Department and five years as Head of Emergency Services for Sebastian County.
Family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home at 201 N 12th St. in Fort Smith Monday, December 7 from 5-7 pm. Church service will be held Tuesday, Dec 8 at 11:30 am in the First United Methodist Church Chapel followed by a 1:00 pm interment ceremony at U.S. National Cemetery as Mr. Bell served his country in the Navy during WWII.
Pallbearers will be Page Kutait, Eddie Kutait, Rick McClarrinon, Bryan Flammang, and Brent Benett. Honorary pallbearers are Lloyd Egret and Satchel Flammang.
In lieu of flowers, Clifford requested that donations in his memory be sent to First United Methodist Church, 200 North 15th St., Fort Smith, AR 72901.
