David Daniel Giacinti, 75, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Thursday May 20, 2021 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born on October 14, 1945 to Remo M. and Nellie C. Giacinti in Racine, Wisconsin. He was the youngest of five children. He grew up in Racine and graduated from Horlick High School in 1963. He served proudly and honorably in the Marines from Nov. 29 1965 – Nov. 28 1967. David was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Beth Jahn, also of Racine, on November 8, 1969 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. David and Beth were married 51 years. He was a loving husband and devoted father to their three children, David, Gina and Michael.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Remo and Nellie, a brother, Stephen Giacinti and two sisters, Gloria Peterson (WI) and Nancy Hansen (CA). David is survived by a sister, Anita Bononno of Racine, WI; his beloved wife, Beth; his children, David Giacinti (Karla) of Fort Smith AR, Gina Sandifer (Eric) of Greenwood AR and Michael Giacinti (Whitney) of Yuma, AZ; six grandchildren, Jessica Dodgen (Andrew), Tony Sandifer, Sam Sandifer, Madison Sandifer, Drew Giacinti and Luke Giacinti; one great grandson, Mason Dodgen, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins and a lifetime of friends.
A family led graveside memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, May 27 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Cremation was under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
