Dolores Natalie Nauert passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Pink Bud Nursing Home. She was born in Old Glory, Texas, March 1, 1919 to Albert and Natalie Dippel. She graduated from Old Glory High School in 1937 and was offered a tennis scholarship to college but chose to get married instead to Herbert Ernest Nauert, her husband of 70 years, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for M.E. Moses Company in Stamford, Texas in the 1940’s. “Grandma” always had interesting stories to tell about her life on the farms in Texas, where they raised cotton and the one in Arkansas, where they raised cattle. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jenny Lind and the TEL Sunday School Class.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, October 26 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her only child, Clinton Nauert and wife, Nancy of Greenwood; granddaughter, Sharon Cabe and husband, Greg of Greenwood; grandson, Steve Nauert and wife, Gina of Rockwall, Texas; great grandsons, Garron Cabe and wife, Aubren of Little Rock, Leyton Cabe and wife, Hannah of Kansas City, Missouri, Quincy Nauert of Fayetteville, Cameron Nauert of Rockwall, Texas and great granddaughter, Vivienne Nauert of Rockwall, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Greg Cabe, Steve Nauert, Garron Cabe, Leyton Cabe, Blake Hocott and Quincy Nauert. Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred Horne, Tommy Basham and Donna Dunmire, her loving hospice aide.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund at Pink Bud Nursing Home, P.O. Drawer 2000, Greenwood, AR 72936.
