He is surivived by his wife, Charlotte Ann Smith of the home; two sons, Donald L. Smith, Jr. and James C. Smith both of Greenwood; one daughter, Kimberly Elizalde of Greenwood and six grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2015 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 2 – 4 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Zach Cole, Donald Smith, III, Josh Smith, Asa Carter, Cleve Carter and Melton Carter.
