Douglas Odell Thames, 64, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born August 17, 1962 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to James Paul and Nancy Carolyn (Williams) Thames. He was a graduate from Westfield High School in Houston, Texas. He was employed by Westinghouse Electric. He was a member of Spring Baptist Church in Spring, Texas.
He is survived by one brother, Shawn T. Thames; sister-in-law, Eneldia Berlanga-Thames; one niece, Shara Dorsey and husband, J.C.; one great nephew, Maximus C. Dorsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great nephew, Magus C. Dorsey.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
