Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with interment at Old Union Cemetery in Hackett.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; three daughters, Tammy Hogan of Pocola, Tina Douglas of Lavaca and Mitzie Slavens of Rogers; two step-daughters, Michelle Moore or Stigler and Amanda Scott of Fort Smith; his mother, Ann Slavens; three brothers, Gary Don Slavens of Pocola, Frankie Slavens and Harold Slavens, both of Sugarloaf; five sisters, Susie Cole of Charleston, Connie Trammell of Cedarville, Brenda Neal, Teresa Holt and Kaye Slavens all of Hackett; fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Austin Douglas, Elijah Douglas, Jamie Slavens, Wade Neal, Andrew Moore, Jacob Moore and Joseph Moore.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
