Duane Clark, 85, of Russellville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 in his home. He was born May 19, 1939 in Cedar Creek, Missouri to Roy and Thelma (Gideon) Clark. He was a retired farmer and worked in the construction business, member of Greenwood First Baptist Church, Meno’s Sunday School Class and Tuesday Night Bible Study. They were members of Grandview Baptist Church in Berryville, Arkansas, where they lived for almost 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Clark; four children, Rick Clark and wife, Heidi, Kelly Clark and wife, Christy, Christy Gee and husband, Garland and Jeff Clark and wife, Lindsey; five siblings, Bonnie Melton and husband, Gary, Mary Sims and husband, Gary, Larry Clark, Linda Polley and Gloria Harding; thirteen grandchildren, Kristin Cothren and husband, Justin, Cody Clark and wife, Katelynn, Jared Clark and wife, Christy, Tory Clark and wife, Brenna, Ashley Loftin and husband, Matt, Kayla Genke and husband, Andrew, Cameron Clark, Austin Gee and wife, Lorie, Jordan Clark, Zack Clark and wife, Kate, Chasity Clark, Jackson Bridges and Addison Bridges and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Thelma (Gideon) Clark and his siblings, Gracie Reynolds, Dale Clark, Lonnie Clark, Vickey Russell and Ronald Clark.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 2 at Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Cody Clark, Jared Clark, Tory Clark, Cameron Clark, Austin Gee, Zach Clark, Jackson Bridges, Justin Cothren and Matt Loftin. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Meno’s Sunday School Class and the Tuesday Night Bible Study Class.
There will also be a celebration of Duane’s life held on Friday, January 3 at 11 a.m. at Grandview Baptist Church in Berryville, Arkansas with Pastor Billy McCall.
