Edward was born January 23, 1923, the son of Frederick and Helen (Schultz) Neubauer. He married Blanche M. Daubert in May 22, 1943 and shared more than 69 years together. He was a member of the Hackett United Methodist Church. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation in Fort Smith, Arkansas after 35 years. He was a member of the Moose Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan, American Legion in Bridgman, Michigan and V.F.W. in Greenwood, Arkansas.
He was born and raised in St. Joseph, Michigan. His father passed away when he was 8 years old. At the time he became the little man of the family for his Mom and sister. He graduated from St. Joseph High School and joined the U.S. Navy and married Blanche. After his service, he started working at Nylon Products and from there went to Whirlpool Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan where he managed the Model Shop. He transferred to the Fort Smith plant where he eventually retired. Edward enjoyed working outside, golfing and spending time with the love of his life, Blanche.
Surviving are his wife, Blanche, his seven children, Roy (Sue) of Encinitas, CA, Sharon (John) Chvila of Bridgman, MI, Garey of Hackett, AR, Debby (Dale) Pankratz of Hackett, AR, Edwina (Al) Klee of Sparta, TN, Beth Chastain of Broomfield, CO and Bonnie (Don) Sosebee of Charleston, AR; 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and his sister, Dorothy Steffey of St. Joseph, MI.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the United Methodist Church, 300 Main St., Hackett, Arkansas.
