Farmer James Wann, 95, of Pocola, Oklahoma died Monday, March 12, 2012 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was retired Superintendent of Pocola Public Schools, member of Pocola First Baptist Church, 32 degree Mason and on the Kibois Board of Directors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilka Wann.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Pocola First Baptist Church with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will Tuesday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Allison Wann of the home; one son, Ronnie James Wann of Siloam Springs; one sister, Mental Balentine of Poteau and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Coleman, Jerry Basinger, George A. Davis, Sonny Swink, Harold Morris and Arvin Kukendall.
