Freddy Lee Townley

Freddy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary; three children Cindy and husband John Rogers, Debbie and husband David Anderson, and Eric and wife Holly Townley; 10 grandchildren Brittany and husband Andy Peevy, Austin and wife Amy Howard, Ashley, Allison and Bradi Rogers, Michael and wife Kayleigh Anderson, Ashley and Maggie Anderson, Jadyn and Hunter Townley; 3 great grandchildren Jemma and Kase Peevy and Taylyn Anderson; 2 sisters Shirley and husband Troy Young and Janette Pearcy; numerous nieces and nephews and his very special friend “Dog”.

Freddy was proceeded in death by his parents Fred and Audrey Townley.

He loved spending time and teaching his grandchildren how to fish. He enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake, working in his yard, and reminiscing with lifelong friends.

Funeral will be 1 P.M. Monday, February 15 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas with interment at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood. Viewing will be 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.

The service is being led by grandson Austin Howard and son in law David Anderson

Pallbearers are John Young, Ryan Byford, Cotton Delp, Buz Hodges, Raymond Bruso, Curtis Milligan, and Jim Barnard.

Honorary pallbearers are Mac Jones, Rayburn Green, Tom Cox, Danny Ray, and Ralph Farrar.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Sara and Peachtree Hospice for the wonderful care and love in his last days.
