Gene Woolsey, 82, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 in a Fort Smith Hospital. He was a retired route salesman for Swift and Ward Ice Cream Companies, a cattle rancher, and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean war. He enjoyed the hay baling aspect of the ranching business.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 3, 2012 in the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Johnny Graf, Jesse Rothwell, Ronnie Richardson, Cody Woolsey, Michael Dugan, and David Ledbetter.
Survivors include his wife, Beth of the home; two sons, Rick and Rocky Woolsey, both of Hackett; a daughter, Renee Rothwell and husband, Jesse of Hackett; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Cody, Carrie, and Heather Woolsey, Brittany Crase, Alona and Darian Rothwell; and three great grandchildren, Will Dugan and Stormie and David Basta.
Viewing will be Sunday, December 2nd from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
