Georgia Gilley, 67, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born July 15, 1958 to Thomas and Nan Mullenix (Dyer). With Thomas’ passing, Nan married Robert Klee, who served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Würzburg, Germany. Georgia would graduate from Würzburg American High School. She graduated from Westark College in 1980 with a degree in nursing. She was an RN for over 40 years and a registered nurse specialist in critical care, emergency room, surgical nursing and cardiac care. She was highly respected by her fellow nurses and physicians.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn; daughter, Sarah Jane Gilley; son, Ian Gilley; granddaughter, Mary Jane Gilley; sisters, Deborah Scherff (Chris) and Nancy Hunter (Billy); brother, Ronald Mullenix and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Karl Klee.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 1 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas with visitation with the family beginning at 9:30 a.m. before the service. The Nurses Honor Guard of the River Valley will be providing honors.
