Georgia Candyce “Candy” Renfro, 76, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 3, 2026 in Fort Smith. She was born March 5, 1950 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Bert and Louise Flowers. Candy was a retired registered nurse, working as a charge nurse at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center, then a head nurse at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater, Kansas. She was also a nursing instructor at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Greenwood.
She is survived by three daughters, Angie Kiene and husband, David of Greenwood, Arkansas, Tuesday Fletcher and husband, Jamie of Roland, Oklahoma and Dawn Sutphin and husband, Fred of Ozark, Arkansas, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Leatha Cameron.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 10 at Westwood Baptist Church with burial at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Honors will be provided by the Nurses Honor Guard of the River Valley. Viewing will be Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Toby Sutphin, Shawn Sutphin, Nick Fletcher, Alex Richards, Paul Molloy and Eliott Dorrough. Honorary pallbearers will be Ashley Molloy, Brooke Richards, Shelby Sutphin and Lindsey Fletcher.
