Gloria J. McConnell

Gloria J. McConnell, 80, of Booneville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at a Fort Smith hospital. She was a retired school teacher having taught for 24 years at Booneville and Hartford schools. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Arkansas Retired Teacher Association, Order of the Eastern Star, Booneville First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Hendrix College Alumni Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson McConnell.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Booneville First United Methodist Church with burial at Hartford Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 8 pm at Roberts Funeral Home in Booneville, where the family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

She is survived by one son, Tom McConnell and his wife, Lynn of Hartford; one daughter, Judy McConnell of Booneville; one niece, Joann Heslep of Sherwood, AR; two grandchildren, Josh McConnell and his wife, Leanne and Jennifer McConnell and her fiancé Camilo Arellano and two great grandchildren, Kyleigh and Emma McConnell.

Pallbearers are Tom McConnell, Josh McConnell, Camilo Arellano, Dale Parker, Pat Owen, and Larry Benge.
