As a gifted Bible teacher Granville served as a Sunday School teacher for 30+ years where he was a member of the Greenwood First Baptist Church. Granville loved his church and his Pastor Ronnie Deal.
His love for God spilled over to his delight in God’s creation. He loved being outside, watching his purple martins and hummingbirds. He loved watching sports and playing golf. In his younger days he shot a hole in one 9-7-1997.
He is remembered with love by his wife of 69 years, Patricia Ann Presson, one daughter, Judith (Presson) Meyer and son-in-law, Steve Malmberg. He was preceded in death by his mother, five sisters and three brothers.
A celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, January 16 at Greenwood First Baptist Church under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior to the service.
