Gregory Louis Kohler

He was born January 23, 1951 in Ft Smith, AR to the late Louis Kohler and Cecilia Kohler (Wald). Greg was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from Trane industries where he worked for 25 years.

Greg was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his horses. Greg was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Northwest Arkansas Cavalcade Riding Club.

Greg is survived by his wife Denise of 43 years, 4 children, Michael Kohler, his wife Doris of Subiaco, AR, Elizabeth Joyce, her husband Dennis of Greenwood, AR, Stephen Kohler of Witcherville, AR, Kimberley Rush of Greenwood, AR, and his mother Cecilia Kohler (Wald) of Fort Smith, AR.

Greg is also survived by his 4 brothers; Rickey Kohler of Fort Smith AR, David Kohler of Lavaca AR, Kenny Kohler of Fort Smith AR, and Brian Kohler of Little Rock AR, 7 grandchildren; Nicholas Joyce, Landen Joyce, Katelyn Joyce, Kristina Kohler, Gregory Kohler, Laken Rush, and Briar Rush.

Greg is preceded in death by his father, Louis Kohler.

Funeral service will be Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Smith with interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Paris. Viewing will be 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood where family will visit with friends from 5-7 p.m. and Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Keith Kohler, Brad Kohler, Mark Kohler, Nicholas Joyce, Landen Joyce and Gregory Kohler. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Northwest Arkansas Cavalcade Riding Club and former coworkers from Trane.
