Richard and I grew up near each other on Mt. Zion Road. At the end of a morning service in 1959, we both walked the isle and asked Jesus to save us. I have never forgotten that morning and glad to have shared it with Richard. Although Richard was a year younger, we played American Legion and high school baseball together. Richard was a very good athlete. He excelled in golf and bowling as well as being good in basketball, football, and baseball. Although we did not see each other as much as adults, we shared so many good times together as children and teens, that I always consider him a very good friend. I will miss meeting him on Mt. Zion Road but look forward to seeing him on a heavenly highway! Great friend to me! He will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to Richard's family. I first met him when we were both quite young and my dad was building a house for Cub and Pauline. I remember being in awe because he could actually ride a two-wheeler. He was a good friend up through our high school years. So sorry for your loss.
