Harold Stephen Ridley, at the age of 72, passed away on January 11, 2022 in his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loved ones, after a long road of battling an aggressive cancer. Stephen Ridley, who many of you knew, by Daddy Ridley was one of the kindest, most giving men, any of us have ever met. He was determined to make it through the holidays and he did just that. He leaves behind his girlfriend of 8 years, Tammy Flynn, and his children, Zachariah, Amber, Samantha, Thomas, Stevie and his minor child Ty.
Harold Stephen Ridley was born in Oakland California on February 10, 1949 to his mother, Alice Carey and his father, Thomas Ridley Jr., who predeceased him. He grew up in a home with his two younger sisters, Terri Peters and Vicki Quesinberry. Stephen had many loves in his lifetime, including, Margaret, Martha (Janie), Susie, Keri (deceased), Marla (deceased) and Tammy Flynn. He grew up in the desert doing what he loved the most, riding and building dune buggies and other off-road vehicles. Later years in his life he became a father and a master electrician.
Stephen was a charismatic man, who caught your eye as soon as he entered the room. Everyone knows Stephen had his own style. Everyone knew him by his fancy cowboy hat, black jeans and cowboy boots. He had one of the greatest, most giving hearts. He was always ready to help those in need. A lot of times, it was taking families or friends into his home to help them get on their feet or sharing the gospel with strangers on the street. Stephen just loved to make people smile. He was well known for his heart and generosity. Stephen’s life was a sucess, he impacted and changed so many people's lives. Stephen was an amazing, one-of-a-kind man and he will never be forgotten and will be forever missed.
The memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, January 22 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel, 137 N Main St, Greenwood AR 72936.
Special thank you to all our family and friends for all the support and to Integris Hospice for their support during the end stages of Stephens life. We are forever grateful.
