Hazel Janelle Conley, daughter of Sam Adams and Mayme (Hannah) Adams, was born on September 30, 1935 in Greenwood, Arkansas. She went to her heavenly home on Monday January 5, 2026. She was a Christian and of the Methodist faith.
Janelle was from a long line of ancestors born and raised in Greenwood. In fact, she lived on the same property as her mother and grandparents the majority of her life.
She attended all 12 years of her schooling in the Greenwood Educational System, where she played basketball in high school and graduated in 1953.
Janelle met and married Eldon J. Hughart in 1957. They had three children, Lesa (Hughart) Macklin and husband, Jim of Greenwood, Sonda (Hughart) McNeil, late- husband, Charles of Pocola, Oklahoma and David Hughart and wife, Renae of Greenwood.
In 1976 Janelle married a second time to Charles W. Conley and they had a son, Wade Conley and wife, Roxanna of West Fork.
Janelle was lovingly called "Momo" by all of her many grands, great grands, and great- great grandchildren. She had a devoted and loving fur baby named Radar, of which she loved and cared for 7 years of his 17-year life. He never left her side of the last days of her life.
Janelle's hobbies were researching genealogy, quilting, and crocheting. She made many crocheted blankets for her grandbabies.
She is survived by her four children, Lesa, Sonda, David and Wade, grandchildren, great grands, great-great grands and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mayme Adams, her sister, Marie (Adams) Winford and an infant brother at his birth.
Janelle will be greatly missed by a multitude who loved and cherished her.
