James Thomas Dampier

James Dampier, 86 of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in his home. He was a retired truck driver and member and deacon of Crestview Baptist Church in New Blaine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Dampier.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2015 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown. Viewing will be 1 – 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Dampier of Bloomer and Ruben Dampier of Greenwood; two daughters, Nancy Whittington of Central City and Phyllis Ann Howell of Georgia; two brothers, Buck Dampier and Irvin Dampier both of Millersburg, KY; four sisters, Betty Stanfield of Millersburg, KY, Alma Grimes of Flemingsburg, KY, Ann Green of Millersburg, KY and Brenda Tolson of Carlisle, KY; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robby Dampier, Grady Smithson, Gary Whittington, Jr., Ruben Dampier, Jr., Sebastian Dampier and Brandon Hannick.
