James & Melba Lowery

James Leon Lowery, 80, passed away August 24, 2026. He was born July 31, 1946 to Tilford and Virginia Lowery.

They are survived by their daughter, Donna White and husband, Jack of Bella Vista, AR, one granddaughter, Madison White of Brooklyn, NY and fourteen nieces and nephews. Melba is survived by one sister, Teresa Elmore-Sanders of Huntington and one brother, Bob Bowers of Fort Smith. James is survived by one sister, Sue Wallace and husband, Junior and two brothers, Bob Lowery and Don Lowery and wife, Susan.

Melba was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Evelyn Bowers, two brothers, Larry Bowers and Randy Bowers and one sister, Wilma McKusker. James was preceded in death by his parents, Tilford and Virginia Lowery.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2026 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel, 137 North Main St., Greenwood, Arkansas. Inurnment will be at Ramsey Cemetery in Hackett.
