Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood.
He is survived by a son, Shannon Shelton; two daughters, Tracy Goad and Kelly Womack; a brother, Will Smith; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Jason Shelton and his parents, Everett Shelton and Opal Smith.
