Janet Solesbee, 69, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was an insurance agent with State Farm and member of Westwood Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 7 at Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday, from 1 – 7 p.m. at the church, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Don Solesbee; two sons, Brian Snow of Fort Smith and Cheyne Solesbee and wife, Katie of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Greg Spaulding of Greenwood and Wayne Spaulding of Fort Smith and one granddaughter, Vivienne Solesbee.

Pallbearers will be Roger Greenmier, Bill Ginger, Keith Glass, Larry Rhodes, Phil Jones and Beau Harlan. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Snow, Buddy Duke, Randy Mizell, Kenny Shook, Tyler Shook and Brian Vaughn.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

I never met Janet in person but felt like I had known her forever. We shared a love of Westies and communicated frequently through Westie groups on Facebook. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. My heart hurts for her loved ones left behind as I know she will be missed.

I knew Janet from the Westie site. We spoke on the phone several times during her illness. We shared stories about our Westies and health issues. She was so positive and sweet. Prayers to her family and her beloved fur babies.
