Jerry Ray Blaylock, 81, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Tuesday August 25, 2026 in Fort Smith. Jerry was born in Hartford, Arkansas on April 22, 1945 to James Richard and Genell (Spain) Blaylock. Jerry served the City of Fort Smith as a Captain in the Fire Department for 37 years. He loved his family, deer hunting and NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Ray Blaylock, Jr. (Amy): daughter-in-law, Kim Blaylock; grandson, Josh Blaylock (Erin); granddaughter, Hannah Lewis (Michael); six great-grandchildren, James, Isabelle and Olivia Blaylock and Luke, Lydia and Leeland Lewis and a sister, Selba Marino.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Burrows and Linda Duke and son, Michael Allen Blaylock.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday August 29 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas. Inurnment will be at Hartford Memorial Park in Hartford, Arkansas.
