Jerry Wayne Parnell, 55 of Fort Smith, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 13, 2010 in his home. He was a brick mason, member of Jenny Lind Lodge #503 F&AM, and the Jenny Lind First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Juanita Parnell.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Susie Parnell of the home; two sons, Josh Parnell and wife Yolanda, and Wes Parnell; one brother, Jeff Parnell; two sisters, Judy Wagoner and Jeanette Parnell, and one grandchild, Whitney Parnell, all of Fort Smith.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 17 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, with burial at Old Jenny Lind Cemetery.
Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16 at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Butch Martin, Donald Trotter, Bobby Reno, Bill Strozier, Odie Strozier, and Carl Wayne Nichols.
