A native of Little Rock, he graduated from Technical High School and attended Ouachita Baptist University before joining the Air Force. He served as a counter insurgency agent in the Panama Canal Zone.
After his military service, Aldridge joined the Little Rock Police Department and served until his acceptance as a Secret Service Agent. He was assigned to the White House to protect President Richard Nixon and his family.
He also served as a firearms instructor, training new agents and sky marshals. His proficiency in both handguns and sniper rifles led to his training over 1,400 agents.
After leaving the Secret Service, Aldridge worked over 40 years in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster specializing in flood claims. He worked closely with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and was highly respected for his expertise and professionalism.
He is survived by a son, Anthony Alan Aldridge and his wife, Lisa; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; his brother, Danny Wayne Aldridge and his wife, Carmen and two nephews and their families.
