Joe V. Bona, 96 of Hartford, Arkansas passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 in his home. He was retired from the Civil Service, veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, founder and president of the Overall Club in Hartford, member of the American Legion and a Catholic. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lora Bona.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2015 at Hartford Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 4 – 6 p.m.
He was survived by his wife, Inez; one son, Joe J. Bona and wife, Vickie of Hartford; eight grandchildren, Terry, Sherry, Tony, Duane, Gary, Dawn, Danny and Loralee; twenty-three great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Terry Bright, Duane Liddell, Gary Liddell, Tony Bona, John Bona and Mike Wilbanks.
