John Douglas "Doug" Richmond

John Douglas “Doug” Richmond, 68, of Fort Smith passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 in Fort Smith. He was born September 21, 1944. He graduated from Northside in 1962 and attended Southern State College in Magnolia.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Bernice Mayo Richmond and by his brother, Gordon Richmond.

He is survived by one sister, Anita Woodard and husband, Phil of Fort Smith; one daughter, Amy Williamson and husband, Darel of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Caleb Williamson and wife, Lorin, and Mason and Emily Williamson, all of Greenwood, and one great-granddaughter, Riley Williamson of Greenwood.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Phil Woodard, Caleb Williamson, Mason Williamson, Darel Williamson II, Ronnie Richmond and J.D. Mayo.
