John William Vines, 88, of Conway, Arkansas passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 in Greenwood, Arkansas. He was born July 7, 1937 in Birmingham, Alabama to Leonard William and Beulah Mae (Miller) Vines. John was a terminal manager for AAA Cooper Transportation, a veteran of the US Army and of the Baptist faith.
John is survived by his two sons, Scott Vines and wife, Sonia of Lavaca and Keith Vines and wife, Annette of Conway; two brothers, David Vines and wife, Gina and Ricky Vines, both of Birmingham, Alabama; three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Willa Dean Vines and one sister, Mickey Vines.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 25 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel, 137 No Main St. in Greenwood with a private family burial to follow at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown.
