Johnny E. Bailey, 78, of Midland died Sunday, May 1, 2011 in his home. He was a retired self-employed handyman, veteran of the U.S. Army and the Korean War, and a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Greenwood.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3 at the Northside Church of Christ in Greenwood, with burial at Mount Olive Cemetery in Midland under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Bailey; three sons, Wally Bailey and wife, Lynette of Fort Smith, Steve Bailey of Greenwood, and Kelly Bailey of Midland; two sisters, Betty Williams of Midland, and Barbara Aldridge of Fort Smith; two brothers, Jim Bailey of Oak Grove, MO, and David Bailey of Midland; one grandson, Aaron Bailey and wife, Jessica; one granddaughter, Asha Ramsey and husband, Jason, and one great-grandson, Andrew Bailey.
Pallbearers will be Clay Bailey, Craig Bailey, Jody Aldridge, Adonis Bailey, Paul Williams, and Phil Williams.
