Joe graduated from Booneville High School, then went on to play football as a lineman at Arkansas State University. He graduated in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, then returned to the family farm (JoDot Farms). Joe worked at the USDA-ARS Dale Bumpers Small Farms Research Center while also running cattle and chicken houses on JoDot Farms.
To know him was to love him. Bear hugs and huge smiles were present when Joe was around. Joe was one to care, love and help anyone around him. All kids loved him, especially the ones that Kimberly had babysit over the years. He was a farmer, husband, father, pawpaw, JoJo, brother, uncle and friend to all. Joe was highly active with his Church (Knights of Columbus), the Booneville Bearcats and the Booneville community, the South Logan County Fair, Logan County 4-H/FFA, and helped anyone who had a question about farming. He loved football, farming, hunting, sunsets and most importantly his family. He was one of the good ones. Joe left smiles on everyone’s face, touched many hearts and will be missed dearly. It was a true blessing to have known such a wonderful man. He was taken too soon but will never be forgotten in our hearts.
