Kimberly Diane Qualls, 62, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away surrounded by love and family. She was born on April 8, 1962 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Gerald and Bernita (Griffin) Ray. Kimberly lived a life filled with kindness, joy, and an endearing energy that touched everyone she met. Kimberly dedicated many years of her career to Sparks Hospital, where she worked in the monitor room. She was admired not only for her hard work, but also for the warmth and cheer she brought to her colleagues. She also spent precious years as a devoted stay- at-home mom, lovingly raising her two children, Emily and Skylar. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love made her the heart of her family.
She was the beloved wife of her best friend, Jimmy Qualls; the proud mother of two children, Emily Christensen and Skylar Qualls, who will forever cherish her memory; one granddaughter, Harper Christensen and one brother, Perry Ray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Ray.
Kimberly’s bright smile, so big it often hid her eyes, was a reflection of her bubbly and uplifting personality. She had an unmatched ability to make everyone feel loved, always sharing laughter and kindness.
Kimberly had a special gift for making friends wherever she went. Her compassion extended to all beings, including her cherished dogs, who were her constant companions. She spent her life trying to bring happiness to others, always offering a good laugh, a helping hand, and genuine friendship. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her.
A visitation honoring Kimberly will be held Friday, January 24 from 5 – 7 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood.
