Leslie Ray Alder

Rev. Leslie Ray Alder, 98, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired Nazarene minister. His entire life was devoted to the church and his family.

Funeral will 10:30 am Monday, October 12 at the Church of the Nazarene with interment in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Murfreesboro, Tennessee under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas. Viewing will be 9-10:30 am prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine Alder of the home; a son, Leslie Alder, Jr of Star City, AR; three daughters, Mary Helen Ellison of Rising Sun, MD, Vicki Kay Gibbs of Knoxville, TN and Rev. Sarah Elizabeth Gatliff of Sherwood, AR; two brothers, William Alder of High Point, NC and John Anthony Lane of Rising Sun, MD; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah M. Alder, a son, Samuel David Alder, and daughter, Janice Roberta Bradley.
