Mrs. Lisa (Sanchez) Fletcher went to be with the Lord at Mercy Hospital on Saturday October 9, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 60. Lisa was born on February 11, 1961 in Compton, California to Jesus Sanchez and Julia Sanchez-Correa. She graduated from John Glenn High School in 1979. She married Michael D’Wayne Fletcher II and had five wonderful children, Mikey, Kamarin, Irene, Jamie, and Gabriel. She spent 38 years living and enjoying the life of California before moving to Greenwood with her family to spend her remaining time of life. She spent her days loving and caring for everyone that entered her home. She loved the Lord and set about teaching her children, grandchildren, and others about Him and encouraged them to pursue a life of serving Jesus and others. Her children remember her as fun, loving, joyful, and a lover of music. She was a force of nature, and her smile will never be forgotten.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Michael D’Wayne Fletcher II; her children, Michael D’Wayne Fletcher III of Fort Smith, Kamarin Elise Boyd and spouse, Caleb of Greenwood, Irene Marisa Fletcher, Jamie Lynn Fletcher and Gabriel Jon Fletcher of Greenwood; grandchildren, Michael D’Wayne Fletcher IV, Keira Lisa Boyd, Briella Arisol Ortiz, and Camille Adeline Boyd; siblings, Jesus Sanchez of Pico Rivera, CA, Alex Sanchez of Norwalk, CA, Phillip Sanchez of Norco, CA, Eva Sanchez Vasquez of Norwalk, CA and Raymond Sanchez of Corona, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents Jesus Sanchez and Julia Sanchez-Correa, place of rest Rose Hills Cemetery in Whitter, CA; her siblings, Joseph Sanchez, place of rest Rose Hills Cemetery in Whitter, CA and Virgina Sanchez-Coronel, place of rest cremation; and her niece Olivia, place of rest Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, CA.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, October 15 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with interment at Liberty Cemetery of Greenwood. Pastor John Miller will be officiating. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lisa’s life.
