Louise Carter Linam, 86, of Greenwood, Arkansas went to her Eternal Home Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. Louise was born July 6, 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Homer and Jewell Thompson. She was a member of the Wheeler Avenue Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, traveling the USA and shopping with Diane. Her sassy, feisty, ornery, quick wit with a dash of sweetness left a lasting positive impact on everyone she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Jewell Thompson; brother, Paul Thompson; husband, TSgt. Harold Carter and son, James Randall Carter. Her memory will always be cherished by her husband, Hollis Linam; son, Paul (Linda) Carter of Greenwood; daughter, Diane (Larry) Satterfield of Greenwood; step-children, Cleve (Joni) Linam, Bruce Linam, Lynna Branstetter all of Greenwood and Holly (Ken) Waggoner of Fort Smith; grandchildren, Joe and James Carter, Kevin and Justin Satterfield, Chris Linam and Vickie Hicks and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, December 10 at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Following CDC guidelines, the family request that mask are worn.
