Mabel Ellen Pierce

Mabel Ellen Pierce, 98, of Booneville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in her home. She was born January 28, 1919 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenwood.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 7 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 915 W. Center St. in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Friday from 2 – 9 p.m. at the church, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 9 p.m.

She is survived by one sister, Pauline Long of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, Cathy Poor of Booneville; one son, Ted Adams of Pocola; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six siblings; her husband, William Pierce, Jr.; her son, Larry Pierce and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Poor, Darren Adams, Michael Schumacher, William Schumacher, Jason Brunnings and Ethan Adams.
