She was a store clerk for General Nutrition and member of Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita Austin and husband, Robert of Mt. Ida, Arkansas; two grandchildren Erick Spence of Greenwood and Jennifer Taylor and husband, BJ of Lavaca; five great grandchildren, Audrey Hicks and husband, Levi, Anna Spence, Abrie Rainwater, Liam Taylor and Aiden Taylor; one great great grandchild, Opal Hicks; daughter in law, Kay Waggoner; two nieces, Pat Nye and husband, Norman Whitehead and Carolyn Shackleford and husband, Matt and great niece Stephanie Erwin and son, Colton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Abshere, son, Alfred Abshere, sister, Renate Hapney and grandchild, Heath Spence.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Cremation was under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas.
