

Mary Ruth McDowell, 81 of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Bakersfield, California. She was the co-owner of DX Pit Stop of Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; and two brothers, Bobby and Kenneth Tankersley.
Funeral will be 9 am Wednesday, June 10 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood Arkansas with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Viewing will be 1-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5-7 pm.
She is survived by three sons, Bernard King Jr. and wife, Rebecca of Bakersfield, California, Robert (Bill) King and wife, Sharon of Van Buren and Glenn McDowell and wife, Brenda of Long Beach, California; two daughters, Debbie Bowes and husband Glenn of Hackett and Cheryl McDowell and Mike of San Juan Capistrano, California; two brothers, Jimmy Tankersley of Cedarville and Clifton Tankersley of Fort Smith; two sisters, Evelyn Stevenson of Spokane, Washington and Judy McKinney of Hackett; thirteen grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Allen Lehtinen, Andrew Reinel, Josh Neubauer, Jason Balk, David Parks, and Greg Christman.
