Melva was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and two brothers. She devoted her life to her family and was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Clark; a son, Kenny and wife, Peggy; daughters, Jean, Angeline and husband Donnie, and Barbara; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 5, 2012 in the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas with interment at Old Union Cemetery near Hackett. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Old Union Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 202, Hackett, AR 72937 or the Hackett School Foundation, 102 N. Oak Street, Hackett, AR 72937 in her name.
