What some great memories I have of the many times we fished together growing up.  You, my friend, mastered the art of catching the biggest of the big ones...no one was better.

Sorry for y'all's loss he was a good guy and I think y'all for sharing him with me when I met him thoughts and prayers for y'all

I haven’t seen him in a few years but we had some great times in high school. He was a great guy that is very loved and will be greatly missed.

I remember sitting in the living room begging my papa to sing to me as he played his guitar I always loved to hear in play  copperhead road will always be my fav song he plays I would do anything to have one more song with him or go fishing one more time  I’ll love him forever

I worked for Mitch and Corey in the 90s , Mitch came by one time while I was closing back , told me to stop washing dishes and then proceeded to tell us hilarious stories , Corey and he were fantastic story tellers . I know his family will miss him and I wish them all the warmest of condolences.

Mitch was a great guy. He was my neighbor for several years and took me fishing several times. He was very generous and had more fishing knowledge than anyone I’ve met. We had talked many times about fishing again and sadly haven’t been in over 12 years. Mitch made an important impact in my life and he will be missed. Thank you Mitch for all you’ve done. I pray the lord provides comfort for your family.

This is probably the hardest thing I’ve gone through.  You go through grieving from the divorce then you grieve when they die. I guess I did it back to back. Ive endured some really hard things, but so far this is just the icing on the cake. Maybe a lot of people feel that way about him. I think there are many people that got to know him, laugh with him sometimes share some things in their life with him that they just weren’t able to share with many people at all. He was kind of like that to his friends.  We did have some of the happiest and most precious times . He  was such a remarkable man in so many ways. He spent years in a totally hyperactive state trying to experience things to the fullest. Nothing was ever just a little. It was ALWAYS, ALL or NOTHING! If  you go fishing don’t bother complaining about fair skin and sun. My nickname should have been Pansy. He’d say, “ hears the sunblock, Pansy. Reapply often!” He loved pouring himself into any activity. Writing articles for fishing magazines. Helping fishing guides take care of campaigns to help their clients catch record bass. He thrived on helping people enjoy the sport of fishing. One of the funniest things was when our daughter was a baby she was trying to talk but she was a lot younger than many kids when they first try. He’d have her on his hip and walk by this big fish he had caught that was mounted. I think it weighed between 9 and 10 pounds. She’d get a scared look on her her face every time and say, “Daddy? Ibba data tib? “ And he’d just laugh and say, “it sure is! It’s a big old fish ain’t it?” Then she would point at the spinner bait mounted in its mouth and say, “daddy, what ibba dat?” And he’d say, “it’s a spinner bait.”Then shed ask, “ ibba data pinner bait?” He’d laugh so hard! 
I’m glad we were able to spend a little time apologizing to one another about not being able to stay together and work things out but we were able to admit that we both loved each other all along. We cried.

Mitch was truly one of the BEST BIG BASS catchers of all time.  I will always have great memories of fishing a lot of days with Mitch.
He was one of the best Frriends I have ever had or will ever have. I’m going to miss him. Rest in Peace my Good Friend.
