Myrtie Jewell Thomas, 93, of Greenwood, Arkansas, formerly of Mansfield passed away, Monday, January 30, 2012 in Greenwood. She was a homemaker, of the Church of Christ faith and proceeded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas; a son, Paul Thomas, Jr. and a grandson, Colten Thomas.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Coop Prairie Cemetery in Mansfield. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
She was survived by three sons, Richard Thomas and wife, Lynda of Mansfield, James Fred Thomas and wife, Carol of Witcherville and Merle Thomas and wife, Mary of Mansfield; one daughter, Paulena Fay Pierce of Memphis, TN; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richard Thomas, Merle Thomas, Clyde Traylor, Terry Speaks, Jamie Speaks, Russell Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Hackney and Dennis Sebo.
