Ola Gipson

Ola Gipson, 87, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 in Greenwood. She married her sweetheart on May 18, 1954. She was retired from Baldor after working there for thirty years. She was the best mother, grandmother, friend and wife that anyone could ask for and of the Christian faith.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 5 at Oak Valley Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 7 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 - 7 p.m.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Smith and husband, Luther of Pink, Oklahoma; nine sons, Ira Joe Gipson of the home, Steve Gipson and wife, Rhonda of Jenny Lind, Eugene Gipson and wife, Valerie of Fort Smith, Marshall Gipson of Jenny Lind, Curtis Gipson of McAlister, Oklahoma, Raymond Gipson also of McAlister, Shannon Gipson and wife, Angela of Amarillo, Texas and Robert Gipson and wife, Jennifer of Fort Smith; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Gipson and two sons, Mike Gipson and Jeff Gipson.

Pallbearers will be Robert Gipson, Bryson Gipson, Steve Gipson, Stephen Gipson, Joseph Gipson and Clint Garrett.
