Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Steep Hill Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Tuesday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Gerry Alverson; three sons, Beryne Kittrell and wife, Valerie of Etna, Wyoming, Duane Alverson and wife, Terri of Greenwood and Kelly Alverson of Pocola; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Brad, Alverson, Anthony Alverson, Keldon Alverson, Gaylon Wiseman, Jr., Mike Ridge and Larry Taylor.
