Peggy R. Wilson, 77, of Charleston, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 6, 2026 at Washington Regional Hospital. She was born May 4, 1949 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Dutch and Beulah (Smith) Weindel. She was a member of Central Freewill Baptist Church, where she played the piano and was retired from the Lavaca Public Schools. She loved cooking, trying out new recipes, talking with her friends, and she loved Elvis Presley.
She is survived by her son, Rusty Wilson and his wife, Stephanie of Central City.
A family led celebration of life will be 12:30 p.m., Thursday July 16 at First Southern Baptist Church in Central City, where the family will begin visitation with friends beginning at 11:30 a.m. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood.
