Richard L. Thomas

Richard loved spending time with his family and friends, working on his ranch and playing guitar. He retired from the U.S. Navy and a retired truck driver.

Richard is survived by one son, Billy Ray Thomas and wife, Rhonda of Alma; two daughters, Pamelia Ray and husband, Rob of Bella Vista, AR and Dusty Meyeraan and husband, Brett of Cedarville; four stepsons; seventeen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Merle Thomas of Fort Smith and a host of nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Myrtie “Jewel” Thomas; his wife, Lynda Thomas; son, Colton Thomas; two brothers, Fred Thomas and Paul Thomas, Jr. and one sister, Paulena Fay Pierce.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 15 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Dayton Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Brad Fuller, John Thomas, Patrick Ray, Malachi Fuller, James Nail and Landen Meyeraan. Honorary pallbearers will be Sadler Fuller, Bryce Langley and Justin Fisher.
