Richard "Dick" Van Riper passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 96; he was born July 3, 1929, in Elko, Nevada.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on March 23, 2026, at Freedom Free Will Baptist Church, 12101 Freedom Road, Booneville, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Clinton Corbin, Mike Galianto, Gerald Hattabaugh, Pat Ray Biggs, Seth Feimster, and Mark Cumbie, with Glen Van Riper, Zipper Rupe, and Scott Welch serving as honorary pallbearers.
